Beyoncé e Adele lideram indicações ao VMA 2016; veja lista

Acabou o suspense! O Video Music Awards anunciou os indicados a sua edição de 2016 na tarde desta terça-feira (26). Sem surpresas, Beyoncé lidera as indicações desse ano concorrendo em 11 categorias com seu icônico “Lemonade”. Seu single “Formation” concorre em 6 categorias, incluindo Vídeo do Ano.

Adele veio em segundo lugar na lista dos mais nomeados com 8 indicações, sendo 7 para o hit “Hello” – incluindo Vídeo do Ano – e uma para “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)”. Drake completa o ‘top 3’ com 7 indicações, cinco por “Hotline Bling” e duas por “Work” com Rihanna.

Nomes de peso que foram grandes ganhadores no ano passado – como Taylor Swift – e que esperavam ao menos uma indicação – como Selena Gomez por “Hand to Myself” – foram totalmente ignorados pela premiação.

P!nk com “Just Like Fire”, Lady Gaga por “Til It Happens To You” e Justin Timberlake com “Can’t Stop The Feeling” ficaram de fora das indicações. Zayn, com seu primeiro álbum solo, só foi indicado por efeitos visuais em “Pillowtalk”, e Demi Lovato, com seu novo trabalho, aparece na lista por sua participação em “Irresistible” do Fall Out Boy.
