Após morder o ombro do zagueiro Giorgio Chiellini durante a vitória do Uruguai por 1 a 0 sobre a Itália, nesta terça-feira, o atacante Luis Suárez está fora desta Copa do Mundo. Nesta quinta-feira, a Federação Internacional de Futebol Associado (Fifa) divulgou que o atleta está suspenso por nove jogos e não poderá atuar também durante os próximos quatro meses.

Apesar de a delegação do país sul-americano desmentir a mordida, a entidade máxima do futebol mundial não perdoou o lance protagonizado pelo atacante. Em sua carreira, Suárez já havia mordido adversário quando atuava no Ajax, da Holanda, e no Liverpool, da Inglaterra.
